Chard & Spelt for All!

This nice woman from San Francisco cooks in a pretty interesting way. The title fo the article is "Can this woman make quinoa sexy?" A provocative question that seems to beg a negative response, based on my current use of the grain for hearty (but not prurient) fare.
Check out the article here:

This reminds me that I need to get my hands on a cook book by one Ms. Dragonwagon. I don't remeber the title, but the Hillbilly Hummus was spectacular.

Sunday News Remarks

Quoth Tony Blankley to Eleanor Clift on McLaughlin group: "Don’t put your liberal words in my conservative mouth. "

In addition to a hateful bully (my theory is he immigrated to our golden shores because the Tories were too cuddly and left wing for him), Tony is also a very saucy geezer!

SNL

Best episode in a while tonight: great opening with Cheney's 500K Valentine from Barnes & Noble. Forrest Whittaker brougt the funny in the ubiquitous restaurant scene. I'm not sure if it is a guilty pleasure or not, but I like Bronx Beat and there is a pretty funny exploration of levels of blackness going on between the Hammond-blackface Jesse Jackson (man, do I find that offensive) and Keenan Thomspon's Al Sharpton right now.

Keith Urban sounds like Toad tonight. I can't think of the last time a country singer performed on SNL. Methinks it was Garth Brooks? (funny in the Mango and campfire sketch). Maybe Keith's agents are trying to follow Garth/Chris into the brave new world of mainstream pop. He is Australian after all, and their country scene is by and large atmospheres cooler than Nashville.

I look forward to sharing my ideas and scribblings here. It will be interesting to try this out.
